Each attendee will have the opportunity to install Box Populi software on computers we provide, or bring your own*! Podcast in a Box is a software and hardware solution which makes it easy to broadcast (podcast) over the internet. Users simply plug in a USB key to start recording and unplug it to stop. The box handles the rest: publishing the media and managing the files that go along with it.

Learn about other Box Populi products! In addition to the Podcast in a Box, several other Box Populi devices will be on display, including webcasting (video) devices (Webcast in a Box) and media hosting solutions for both private customers and educational institutions. Enjoy free refreshments, networking and a chance to see what all the buzz is about!

Box Populi offers podcast and multimedia production software, hardware and services, primarily for the college and university market. We have been in business since 2003, and have products in dozens of large universities across the US. We transform education through communication.
*If you bring your own computer, we recommend at least a 500 MHz processor with 128 MB RAM, CDROM drive, and 10 GB hard disk for installation (we will have a few monitors, mice, keyboards, power cables, and network cables). The computer does not need to have a working operating system installed.
If you are interested in taking home one of the Podcast in a Boxes after you have done an installation, please contact us before the event to make sure we can provide enough machines. The fee for a recycled computer (we will verify all the hardware works) will be $100 payable in advance through Google Checkout. If you are interested this option, please send email to Chris Dawson
